We recently held our wedding reception at Black Rock Ski Lodge. We couldn't possibly have asked for anything more. Paul and Lizzy the owners worked their magic and made our special day just perfect for us. We partied away ‘til the small hours of the morning, everyone was having so much fun.
Right from the start we had a great feel about the Chalet and a warm welcome from Paul and Lizzy. They exceeded our expectations from arranging everything from the caterers to putting up marquees/lighting/table setup and much, much more. Emma the chef (who was recommended by Lizzy) was incredible. She made our entire wedding dinner, including canape's and a three-course meal.We went from starting out with 40 guests and ended up with 75! (We have a large Norwegian family.) Paul and Lizzy were more than happy to accommodate our needs. I don't speak French myself, so Lizzy was there to do all the ordering of the wine and the, "lunch service", setup which was a true help. They also invited us over to join them at the Chalet for a wine tasting evening so that we could pick out our own wines for the wedding, we had a lovely night sat up in the Chalet’s nook with a burning fire. The Chalet itself is set in the most beautiful surroundings with direct views of Mont Blanc in the Chamonix valley but still has a nice secluded/private feel to it.We had family stay at the Chalet the week of the wedding who had travelled from Norway. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The huge dining table was a great touch as the family love to sit round and eat together. The bedrooms were beautifully made up to a very high standard and the Hot tub was a bonus which the kids loved to use.We honestly couldn't recommend Black Rock Ski Lodge enough! Paul and Lizzy are brilliant and will accommodate to meet every individual’s/group’s needs.Thank you both again for an unforgettable day. We couldn't have done it without you.Fay and Mathais
